With more than 25 years of rigorous experience, Mr. Imran Afzal Mughal has a strong desire to work for the betterment of Pakistan’s society through the design of niche automotive products and the development of advanced technologies for drivetrains, modern motors, and batteries.
He has developed numerous motorcycles, including the patented ZUM2000 utility motorcycle, which offers one of the most comfortable rides with arguably the best seats and suspension in its class. The motorcycle is highly stable under extreme road conditions, including braking. He also designed and developed manufacturing facilities and assembly plants that are considered among the best motorcycle plants in Pakistan.
Mr. Imran single-handedly fulfilled all compliance requirements and secured approvals from regulatory bodies. Within eight months, an empty hall was converted into an EDB-approved manufacturing facility, followed by PSQCA road-worthiness approval for the motorcycle within the next few months.
His experience spans product specification, concept design, engineering, CAE, prototyping, testing, and trials, as well as manufacturing facility development, including parts and components manufacturing and assembly plants. He has built teams, managed production operations, and supported after-sales service functions.
Gifted with a strong combination of left- and right-brain thinking, he has handled projects from scratch, covering product design, ergonomics, user experience design, chassis and component development, drivetrain development, prototyping, manufacturing process design, production handling, and quality management.
He was one of the lead engineers involved in the design and development of Pakistan’s first locally developed car, Adam Revo, and led the customization and development of Land Rover Defender projects for military use. His professional experience includes work with Trans Mobile, Volvo, Adam Motors, and Land Rover, along with projects for PSA – Peugeot Citroën Group.
In academia, he played a vital role in advancing Product Design education in Pakistan by teaching the pioneer batch of Product Design students at University of Gujrat (UoG) and supervising 28 academic projects. He has also supported the industry’s transition to modern technologies through the development and delivery of skill development courses across multiple platforms.

Dr. Shahid Iqbal is a PhD electrochemist with his research focused on fuel cells and more than two decades of professional and research experience in electrochemistry, battery technologies, and advanced testing systems.
He has arranged and developed motor and cell testing equipment, including cell welding facilities, for USPCASE NUST, supporting research and development activities in automotive electric drivetrains. He is actively involved in sourcing high-quality lithium cells from multiple international sources and conducting detailed testing to support academic and industrial R&D initiatives. He has also completed feasibility studies for manufacturing lithium cells of different chemistries in Pakistan.
Alongside his technical work, Dr. Shahid has been developing a sales and distribution network for electric vehicles, successfully selling EVs through a growing network of showrooms. His experience spans both technology development and commercialization, bridging the gap between research and market adoption.
After completing his Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry from UET in 1999, he co-founded Systec Technologies, a company focused on supplying analytical and advanced research equipment to leading engineering universities in Pakistan. Through this venture, he represented prominent German and US brands including GUNT, Gamry, and Walter + Bai.
Over the past 26 years, Dr. Shahid has continuously enhanced his technical expertise by receiving training from international manufacturers at their facilities. He completed his doctoral degree in Electrochemistry from the University of Bonn, Germany, in 2015.
He is also actively engaged in academia, teaching at Fatima Jinnah Women University and NUTECH, Islamabad, where he shares his experience with PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students. Over the last two decades, he has developed strategic alliances with manufacturing and services companies that possess technological leadership in technical education, test and measurement systems, and analytical and biomedical instrumentation, supporting the growing research and development needs of Pakistan’s educational sector.

Dr. Inam Ullah Nazir is an expert design engineer and researcher with over 20 years of experience in engineering design and technologies. His expertise spans product and structural design using composites and alloys, system integration, and a wide variety of manufacturing processes in industries including Automotive, Aerospace, and Rail.
He has extensive experience in digital solutions for product development and manufacturing, and is a certified instructor for Dassault Systèmes CATIA and certified support provider for ABAQUS. His hands-on experience includes the design of international standards-compliant products, system integration, prototype development, and structural testing.
Dr. Inam is an expert in linear and non-linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and manufacturing process simulations, and has conducted research in Additive Manufacturing (AM) for advanced structures, including AM product development and certification methodologies for commercial airplanes. He is highly skilled in DFMEA, risk analysis, programming, and scripting for engineering applications, with working knowledge in System Dynamics, Computational Fluid Mechanics, and deployment of compute clusters, Product Data Management (PDM), and PLM systems.
He is actively involved in professional training and education, having set up training facilities and developed programs in Engineering Design, FEA, and CAE applications. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanics and design.
Dr. Inam also has experience in drone-based aerial surveying and holds CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) as well as Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC).
